HVAC systems including new 2 MW gas reciporating engine-generator, absorption chiller, cooling tower, 6 heat exchangers, 3 expansion tanks, 8 pumps, switchgear and MCC.
Grodsky is currently the general contractor and installing mechanical contractor of a new 2,650 sq. foot Cogeneration plant addition on an existing boiler plant at Leominster Health Alliance Hospital. The CHP system will supply nearly all the hospital’s power and will be configured to run in parallel to the electric grid.
The engine’s waste heat will go through a heat recovery system that will supply a portion of the hospital’s hot water and chilled water needs. Jacket water cooling from the engine will be used either for facility hot water or fed through a hot water absorption chiller to provide chilled water.
