Integrated Project Delivery
Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
We are proud to have been working as part of Integrated Project Delivery teams since well before the term existed. In fact, the type of collaboration and teamwork that is central to the IPD approach is something we’ve preached and practiced for years.
This chart shows the shift in the timing of effort and collaboration to an earlier point in the design process when impact can be greatest and the cost of changes can be minimized.
Simply put: Everyone wins when those integral to a project’s success start working together and sharing information at the earliest stages:
- Owners get the best possible project in terms of quality, cost and schedule.
- Designers get early-stage feedback on constructability and budgets, when changes can still be easily made.
- Contractors can work effectively and efficiently and deliver a quality job that perfectly meets the owner’s needs.
A majority of our projects incorporate IPD concepts, such as Guaranteed Maximum Price contracts with open book accounting, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Design Assist, Design Build and team construction – where teamwork, respect and mutually defined and monitored goals, budgets and schedules are at the center of project success.
