Scope:
Two 10,000HP gas-fired jet engines installed with the purpose of converting natural gas into electricity and steam.
Summary:
Grodsky was part of a project team that successfully completed an upgrade of the existing central plant to a new cogeneration facility for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The new system is capable of generating fifteen megawatts of power, which will satisfy roughly 60% of the electricity used by all of Foxwoods Resort & Casino. Additionally, the heat recovery steam generator system is capable of producing 80,000lb/hr of steam, which can heat and cool all of Foxwoods.
