Scope:
Plumbing and HVAC, a plan & spec contract to fit out 30 ICU rooms, 20 pre/post operating rooms, 6 operating rooms, 4 trauma rooms, 3 radiology/imaging suites, 2 CT rooms, 2 ultrasound rooms, 91 treatment rooms, 96 patient rooms, 6 isolation rooms, and 12 bariatric rooms, and construction of the central utility plant consisting of centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and steam boilers.
Summary:
Grodsky is working with Suffolk Construction & Baystate Medical Center on the first 3 phases of construction of the Hospital of the Future, a 641,000-sq ft., state-of-the-art healthcare facility. We work closely with R.G. Vanderweil and Suffolk Construction to assist with the design and value engineering.
Unique Features:
The new 2-story custom air-handling unit producing 140,000 CFM consists of 34 separate sections and was set with a 650-ton crane.
